What is Recognition of Prior Learning?

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process in the Vocational Education Sector (VET) that recognises the applicants’ current skills and experience regardless of where and when the learning occurred. RPL is competency based and credits are provided for units where competency has been achieved. Applicants can base their submission on a combination of formal or informal training and education, work experience or general life experiences.
